DIY Disable Day Light Running Lights Corolla 98 - 02

This DIY will disconnect your day time running lights and your automatic lights . Not one or the other but both .

Remove three screws along the inside top seam of the glove box. Then by the kick panel on next to the passenger door, remove a 10mil bolt. Once the glove box is removed it should look like this (straight on...)

Next is locating the DRL RELAY box. You might have to lay down a little in the floor board and look up.... this is its location...

Next, you will have to remove the box from its little "snug" location. It slides off the metal piece. Just place a finger or two behind it and give it a little forceful tug and it should slide right off...

Now just pull it down a little and locate the RED WIRE WITH A BLUE LINE on it #23. Snip that wire... Make sure you put electrical tape on the ends of the exposed wire and leave enough wire so if you ever want to reconnect then you can at a later time .

  8. I appreciate the fact that you made this page, really, but jesus, could you have taken a crappier pic of the wire??? I got my 98 Corolla apart to do this, but now I'm hangin' because I can't see your wire or your pointer line clearly. Among several red wirers, I have one red wire with a long blue line, but it also has a silver/gray band near the connector. Is that the one? PLEASE BE CLEARER! Thanks, tho.
