DIY - Replace Cabin Air Filter 2000 Infiniti I30

This is a DIY on how to replace your cabin air filter on a Infiniti I30

A lot of people might not realize but the I30 does have a cabin air filter behind the glove compartment box - It is real easy to get to - Remove the 4 screws on top and the entire compartment box will drop - Note you cannot get to the filter by just pulling the door down because there is a wall - You must remove the entire piece .

You will see the door to the cabin air filter - You must remove the clip on the bottom of the door then slide door upward then towards you

You will see two filters side by side - Remove the top one first then the bottom one will slide - Remember filter has handles and they must face outward

Once you remove the filters make sure you look inside for any trash that can be blocking your drain whole - If you need a coat hanger to move the debris then do that - Then with the vacuum cleaner there is a attachment that has a long skinny end - Be careful when you slide it in the opening because you DO NOT WANT TO DAMAGE THE HEATER CORE OR BEND THE HEATER CORE FINS - Once you have that area cleaned then put the new filters in remembering the same procedure when putting it back together .

DIY Front Brakes & Rotors 05 -08 Corolla

This is a DIY for a 05 - 08 Toyota Corolla . This DIY will show you how to remove and replace front brakes and rotors .

There is two bolts holding the caliper , Once you remove the two bolts then with a flat head screw driver you pull the caliper forward , Once you remove the caliper again with a flat head screw driver you spread apart the front pads .

It is important to replace hardware kit or at least lubricate the pins and the hardware before reinstalling pads .

To remove the rotors you need to remove the caliper bracket - There are two bolts on the inside that hold the bracket to the spindle - Clean and inspect studs because this is a opportunity to replace any of needed . Once you remove old rotor spray with brake cleaner the new rotor to remove and oil on it.

Before pushing the caliper piston back pull top up on the brake master cylinder reservoir - DO NOT REMOVE THE RESERVOIR CAP COMPLETELY OFF ONLY JUST POP IT AND REST IT ON THERE - BATTERY FLUID SHOULD NOT BE EXPOSED TO THE AIR FOR TO LONG IT CAN CAPTURE MOISTURE IN THE AIR AD BECOME CONTAMINATED .

Once you have done all the steps then apply anti seize to any of the bolts and reassemble .

No need for brake flush unless you opened the bleeder or if its time to bleed your brakes .

Close top of the reservoir check to see if fluid needs to be added . Pump brakes pryor to starting your vehicle until pedal comes up .

DIY Replacing Spark Plugs 2000 Infiniti I30

This is a DIY for a Infiniti I30 with a 3.0 Nissan Motor - You DO NOT have to remove the hood but when I did this DIY I was replacing my hood with a new one .

The front plugs are the easiest , All you have to do is remove the single bolt holding the ignition coil - When pulling the coil up use slight twist and pull - Make sure you inspect your coil tips for oil - If you see signs of oil then you need to replace your valve cover and grommets

I gap my plugs at .44 and use some anti seize - electrical lube - This motor does use double platinum plug

Now the rear plugs are easy to remove - All you have to do is remove the top part of the gas and transmission cable bracket - Again check the coils for oil on the tips - But when you put these plugs back MAKE SURE YOU HAVE PLENTY OF ROOM BECAUSE YOU CAN CRACK THE BACK SIDE PLUGS - when tightening plug do it slow and keep the extension straight -  MAKE SURE WHEN YOU DO THIS IT IS SILENCE AS POSSIBLE SO THAT YOU CAN HEAR IF YOU HAVE CRACKED THE PLUG - IF YOU HEAR ANY WEIRD SOUND WHILE TIGHTENING REMOVE THE PLUG TO MAKE SURE - THERE SHOULD BE NO SOUNDS WHEN TIGHTENING THESE PLUGS - Once you done all of then then you can put the coils back on
