DIY Wiper Transmission Linkage Bushings Replacement 2000 Honda CRV

This is a DIY for a 2000 Honda CRV that has a sloppy wiper arm .

Part Number Dorman #49449

First remove the wiper arms left and right - Just remember each arm is a different length

There are some clips that you have to remove so that you can easily remove the windshield wiper transmission and motor plastic cover .

There are usually 4 of these transmission linkage bushings - In this case only one was broken - This could be fixed from this position but because we are gonna check all 4 of them out I will remove the wiper arm transmission .

While everything is off , Might as well change your blades if needed

Once you remove the bad bushings - Fill it up with grease and Anti Seize the bolts of necessary .

Use a big socket and gently hit with a rubber mallet or a vice if you have one

Once everything is on and working you can put it all back the same way you had token it off .

DIY Replacement Front Slotted Rotors 05 Toyota Corolla

This is a DIY on how to remove your stock front rotors and to replace them with slotted rotors .

While doing this replacement you might as well change the front brakes which I did in this DIY .

Basically you remove the brake caliper , The brake caliper bracket and you might have to add PB blaster to remove the front rotor - Sometimes you have to hit the rotor hard with a hammer in this case I will NOT be using the stock rotors but if you are gonna use the stock rotors then use a brass hammer instead .

While you have everything off make sure you spray brake cleaner to the new rotors to remove any oil on it .

Grease the channels so the brakes can slide on the clip and the brake squealer clip as well .

Put everything back - Make sure the rotors are facing forward - There is a left and a right side - Put brakes back on and there you have it front slotted rotors .

DIY - Front Stud Removal and Remplacement 2005 Corolla

This is a DIY for a 9th gen Corolla/Altis or any type of Toyota

You will noticed Toyotas most likely have notches - If you do NOT see a notch usually the whole hub has to be replaced on certain vehicles -

This is the stud part number - With a sledge hammer knock out the broken or all the studs if you decide to add extended lug nuts or replacing worn out studs

With the Auto Zone stud I had to modify the back end of the stud by grinding a round edge because the store was flat as you can see in the photo - You don't have to go all the way around as long as you round the edge that is closest to the bearing - If you choose not to grind the edge then go to Toyota for the OEM studs

Some how I found this version of lug nut and used it to pull in the stud - You can use a over size but as well

DO NOT PUT ANY OIL OR ANTI SEIZE when installing a stud - Line up the little mark lines - Make sure the stud is straight - Make sure the flat edge you grinded is facing bearing and you have clearance - Try spinning the hub and listen for noises

With your breaker bar or air gun pull in the stud TIGHTLY

Make sure stud is completely flat - Then you can put it all back together
