DIY Replacement Rear Brake Caliper 2000 Infiniti I30

This is a DIY for a 2000 Infiniti I30 driver side rear brake caliper replacement

DO NOT REMOVE THE BRAKE HOSE AT THIS POINT - You first remove the emergency brake cable from the back then you can remove the brake caliper completely then lay it on the ground still connected to the brake hose .

Once you have the caliper off then you can which in my case I put new rear brake pads on the vehicle - Properly lubricating the parts and replacing the old parts with the brake caliper kit provided .

Then you can connect your brake hose to the caliper and the reason for this is because then your less likely to bleed the whole system by doing this you lose little brake fluid and you can just bleed what you replaced .

Connect emergency brake cable and then inspect the whole system

Then you can bleed the caliper that you replaced - If you feel spongy then you bleed the whole system starting with the rear which is most farthest from the brake master cylinder

With a screw driver you remove the two screws holding the rotor to the shaft

Inspect and clean emergency brake shows that are located inside the rotor

Replace all the hardware that is supplied - make sure slotted rotors are facing the correct direction - put everything back the same way you removed the old parts

DIY Replace Front Brakes 2011 Hyundai Sonata

This is a DIY for a 2011 Hyundai Sonata front brake replacement

Two bolts hold these front pads , Once you remove these bolts then you can slide the brake caliper off the rotor - Make sure you replace all the hardware when putting your new pads

To push the front caliper back you must either use the proper brake tool but in this case you can use a C - clamp cause you have to go in on a angle to push the piston back - be careful cause these calipers are made of aluminum

Once you have everything off you put it on the same way -

DIY - 2009 Toyota Rav 4 Rear Brakes and Rotors Replacement

This is a DIY for a 2008 Toyota Rav 4 WITH OUT 3rd row seating .

There is a difference in pads and rotors if you have 3rd row seating vs non 3rd row seating

First thing you do is remove the caliper and the caliper bracket

Once you have the rotor off inspect your emergency brake shoes because they are inside the rotor and some people when replacing brakes whether they remove the rotor or not do not inspect or even think about replacing the emergency shoes

In this DIY I'm using a slotted rotor make sure there facing forward

You noticed in the first photo there are slots and these slots are important because they must line up on the hole in the rotor - That is there so that you can adjust the emergency brake shoes - Make sure you transfer the rubber piece so that water or dirt doesn't get into the shoes

Gently push the caliper back

Remember to replace your brake hardware

The rear pads have wear sensors - If they do not come with your brake hardware kit then remove the old one and transfer to your new pads

Once you are done then put everything back together the same way you took them off
