DIY Passenger Side Motor Mount 2002 Honda CRV

This is a DIY for a 2002 Honda CRV passenger side motor mount replacement

This is a real simple DIY  - All you have to do is support the motor on the bottom with a piece of wood on a floor jack raise it up enough to tough the pan - If needed with that cushion you can raise or lower gently - Total of 6 bolts to remove after you move the power steering pump over .

Its self explanatory in the photos - Once you remove the bracket first on the side of the motor then you can remove the bolts that hold in the motor mount - Remember motor mounts are not just replaced because they are broken they should be replaced because of mileage and they do sink - Changing these can help you with your CV shafts to cause the motor should be up not down binding the CV shafts .

You will notice a difference in the bracket - Make sure you put it on the same way - In this photo will see a black mark to indicate its the bottom .

DIY 93-97 Rear Motor Mount Replacement

This is a DIY for the rear motor mount .

For this DIY you need to raise your corolla real high so that you have room to work underneath it . You do not need anything to hold the engine up .

First remove the muffler pipe bracket . Then you remove the center bolt of the rear mount .

Then you can remove the bolts to the rear motor mount and remove the bolts for the sub frame but DO NOT REMOVE THE SWAY BAR LINKS OR BALL JOINTS
The purpose of removing the sub frame bolts is so that you can pull it down and remove the rear motor mount while the sub frame is still hanging .

Then once you remove the rear motor mount you go in reverse to put it back on . But you can start by putting the center bolt then push up on the sub frame and put all the bolts back .

DIY 93-97 Corolla Front Motor Mount Replacement

This DIY is for the front motor mount .

To remove and replace this motor mount you do not need a jack to hold the motor from tilting . You need to replace the splash guard from the bottom and do all the work from underneath the corolla .

Basically three bolts holding this mount down .

Once you remove the mount just replace it the same way you took it off .

This is what it will look like when you are finished .

DIY 93 - 97 Corolla Right Front Motor Mount Replacement

This DIY is for the Motor Mount in the right front .

On some Corollas there is the cruise control that needs to come out because it sits on top of the mount and you need to remove the windshield washer fluid canister as well . Plus the top of the motor mount has a cap on it that needs to come off as well .

Now make sure you raise the one side of the car and place another floor jack to support the oil pan and to keep the engine from tilting . The motor mount bracket goes into the the timing belt area . That part you do not remove . All you have to do is go under the car and remove the 2 bolts that hold the motor mount to the bracket .

Then you can remove the upper bracket that holds the A/C line that goes over the mount , Then the other 3 bolts that hold the mount to the frame . No need to remove the center nut of the motor mount until it is off because you have no clearance .

Once you remove the motor mount then you can remove the center bolt of the motor mount and put it to the new one .

Then you can put everything back the same way you removed it .
